When necessary, ACCNJ works with outside counsel, who, at the judicial level, preserves the collective rights of members and provides the union contractor perspective on issues before the courts. ACCNJ also preemptively engages governmental officials regarding the legality of rules, regulations, and enforcement mechanisms used or implemented by the various state agencies and files amicus briefs when litigation presents matters that will have an adverse effect upon members of the construction community at large.

ACCNJ will regularly disseminate summary guidance of newly enacted laws to help members navigate the ever-changing statutory and regulatory landscape. The Association also provides members with an industry perspective on the applicability and scope of laws impacting their day-to-day operations. When particularized legal representation is necessary, ACCNJ can connect members with a network of trusted legal professionals who have helped shape the legal framework in New Jersey’s construction industry.
