About ACCNJ
The Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey (ACCNJ) is the recognized building, heavy, highway and utility chapter in New Jersey of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the oldest and largest construction association in the nation. ACCNJ members are responsible for billions of dollars in public and private construction projects annually and employ tens of thousands of skilled craftworkers statewide. The contractors and construction managers that comprise ACCNJ are committed to quality, integrity, skill and responsibility in all aspects of the construction process.
Mission
The Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey mission is to promote the quality, integrity, skill and responsibility of its membership by encouraging the practice of the highest safety and business standards for the industry. In doing so, the Association works to unify the construction community in New Jersey through our efforts in labor, government and owner relations. With the exchange of information and services, members learn about issues that directly impact their businesses, and others gain a better understanding about the construction industry.
History
ACCNJ represents 150 years of combined experience serving the New Jersey construction community. ACCNJ was formed by the merger of the Associated General Contractors of New Jersey and the Building Contractors Association of New Jersey, when leaders of those well-respected organizations decided to join forces. These visionaries created the strongest construction association in the State of New Jersey, and the only association representing commercial and public construction contractors.
Affiliates
ACCNJ manages or supports other construction organizations. We administer the Floor Covering Institute of New Jersey. Through a service agreement, ACCNJ provided information and support to the Building Contractors of South Jersey.
